
This one-hour live Internet symposium will review and discuss the role of newer antiretroviral classes and agents in HIV-positive patients. This symposium will feature an interview of Jean-Michel Molina, MD, PhD and Richard Elion, MD, two of the leading experts in HIV medicine, by Calvin Cohen, MD, MS, Research Director of CRI New England and Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School.
This program is certified for CME credit for US physicians by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine.
This activity has been designed to meet the educational need of physicians involved in the care of patients with HIV infection.
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
Apply important concepts regarding the use of newer ARV classes and agents in the treatment of HIV-positive patients;
Describe how best to integrate newer ARV classes and agents into the treatment and care of ARV-naïve and experienced patients;
Analyze treatment options to construct appropriate ARV regimens while considering recent data and ARV treatment guidelines involving newer ARV classes and agents.
