This one-hour Internet symposium will review and discuss the clinical management of special populations of HIV-positive patients. This symposium will feature an interview of José Arribas, MD and Santiago Moreno, MD two of the leading experts in HIV medicine, by Calvin Cohen, MD, MS, Research Director of CRI New England and Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School.
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and other health care professionals actively involved in the treatment and management of patients with HIV-infection.
After completing this activity, the participant should be able to:
Use recent study data and information to make clinical decisions that improve the health of special populations of HIV-positive patients;
Apply important concepts regarding the use of ARV classes and agents in the treatment of special populations of HIV-positive patients;
Select appropriate ARV therapies that are for the individual needs of each HIV-positive patient.
