Program Overview

This one-hour Internet symposium will review and discuss the clinical management of antiretroviral therapy options in HIV-positive patients. This symposium will feature an interview of David Cooper, MD and Renslow Sherer, MD, two of the leading experts in HIV medicine, by Calvin Cohen, MD, MS, Research Director of CRI New England and Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School.

This program is certified for CME credit for US physicians by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply important concepts regarding the use of ARV classes and agents in the treatment of HIV-positive patients;

  • Select ARV therapies that are appropriate for the needs and desires of each patient;

  • Describe how best to integrate newer ARV classes and agents into the treatment and care of ARV-naïve patients;

  • Analyze treatment options based on recent data and ARV treatment guidelines.
